Ollie | Sales Apprentice

Hi my name is Ollie, I'm a sales apprentice at Portsmouth Renault & Dacia. I live in Havant near Portsmouth and went to school at Warblington School, after which, I went to Havant College. When I was growing up, I wanted to be everything from a professional footballer to a rockstar! I'm a big Portsmouth FC fan and a season ticket holder at Fratton Park.

What is the biggest thing you have learnt so far during your apprenticeship?

Naturally, I have learned a lot about the cars I sell, vehicle finance and everything else involved with the role. I think the area I’ve learned most about, and improved the most, is my customer service skills.


What do you see as the benefits of studying through an apprenticeship?

Being able to learn and develop new skills directly on the job, whilst also having the opportunity to complete classroom style learning, all whilst being paid.


What advice would you give to someone considering an apprenticeship?

I would say definitely go for it, as long as the apprenticeship you’re looking at is something that you find interesting and enjoyable.


What are your career aspirations?

At the moment, I am looking to finish my apprenticeship with a ‘distinction’ grade and start as a full-time sales executive.
