Eight-year-old Evie Lane from Eastleigh is on top of the world after her festive drawing was chosen to decorate the Hendy Ford E-Transit currently delivering supplies to local foodbanks in the area.
Evie was chosen from more than 200 entries and said she was so excited to see her design on the E-Transit which is spearheading Hendy Group’s Christmas campaign.
Donations of long-life food can now be made at the Hendy Transit store in Eastleigh’s Leigh Road with all donations then heading to Eastleigh Basics Bank for distribution to the local community.
The zero emission Transit is expected to clock up hundreds of miles each week travelling between Hendy Transit Centres in Hampshire, and West Sussex collecting the donated food and taking to the foodbanks.
David Graham, head of retail CV sales said the group was looking to spread some festive cheer this year by collecting for foodbanks and wanted to ensure the E-Transit was suitably festive.
“The competition entries were amazing with some wonderful festive designs from children across the region,” said David. “We are now turning our attention to the food donations at our Transit Centre in Eastleigh and helping local communities this Christmas.”
In addition to seeing their design on the E-Transit, Evie also received a £70 Smyths Toy Superstore voucher.
